This is the third time we’ve bought this same coat in a larger size for our son - we love it that much. It’s incredibly warm and well-made. To me, there are a couple of features that make this coat better than others and worth the extra cost. First - I’ve never had a seam unravel or wear at all, even when we’ve gotten 2 years of wear from the same coat. Second - the sleeves are expandable in length, so even if your child experiences a growth spurt mid-winter, this coat will last until spring, at least. And last - it has the same features we love in our adult Columbia jackets - multiple places to adjust the fit, pockets for everything under the sun, and it’s lightweight, too - perfect for being active outdoors. Highly recommend!
